Levels 30-35

Several things happen when you hit level 30. A fairly important one is that you will get a quest for Divine Armor. This quest is taken from Heimdall ( the same guy who you first talk to for your ascension quest in Pandamonium) Basically it is a lot of talking, but in the end you pay around 1mil for an item (found from a vendor on Prosperity Road). that allows you to select 1 piece of divine armor (lvl 30 blue armor, which also happens to be apart of a set.) The chest and leggings are probably the best as far as stats go. Unfortunately if you want the rest of the set there are only 2 options; get extremely lucky (chance of dropping is incredibly low) or make another level 30 character. The latter is actually easier (all items are account bound and can be put in account warehouse) but still not very worth the effort. Also these items can be traded for any other piece of divine armor of any type (i haven't confirmed this, but I've been told it several times from different players).

At 30 you also start gaining access to Beluslan quests and Alsig Village quests. It also becomes easier to grind in the upper abyss. You have a lot of options here on where to go to level, so the lower end of 30 tends to be a bit easier. (don't kid yourself tho it is still a lot of exp to earn.)

Level 30-35
It is possible to start leveling in the upper abyss at 28 (depending on class) but you will not be able to get any of the quests here until 30. Its not a huge deal, as there aren't many quests available. Starting )or staying) at 1 is fairly safe as their is an asmo tower very close by. This spot tends to be over looked by both factions, but it is still a very good spot. At the tower here there are a few quests, one being a repeatable silver coin quest. This quest is okay, but i can't really make a judgment on if it is worth it to do many times. (due mostly do to the number of mobs required to be killed and their locations.) If you need the gear, then definitely do the silver coin quest. Most of the mobs at 1 have weak physical defense and are quick to chew through. The only ones that are tougher are the golems, but they aren't a threat, just time consuming.

2 (aka Swords Edge) is another great grinding spot. These mobs are all balaur and there are a ton of them. However, a word of caution. This island has 1 constant elite mage-type spawn and 1 rare spawn. Both are tough and you will need a group at this level to take them down. The consistant spawn is not worth taking down (and tends to nearly 1-shot players), but the rare spawn does have some nice blue loot. If you see him up (tends to be on the very north end) get a few players together and take him on. Lastly, this spot is always switching hands between asmo and elyos, depending on who has the most players here at any given time; so be on your guard if you wish to grind here. (If i remember correctly there are also some quests at the tower to the east of here.)

3 (aka White Island) Is almost a natural progression from swords edge. The mobs are only slightly higher level and are all decently easy to kill. There are no elite spawns on this island so it is very consistent grinding. As with Swords Edge, this place is liked by both factions and will switch hands often based on players leveling here.

My Advice: If you are going to be leveling at 2 or 3, bring a buddy or two. players tend to farm solo quite often and end up having a hard time leveling in the abyss due to getting jumped a lot. As i stated in previous posts, players are far less likely to attack when multiple people are together. You also stand a much better chance of fighting off any brave souls who attack you.

Final Notes: There are some more quests that have you travel from Primum Landing to towers and the like. Go ahead and do these quests if you find them as they are easy exp. I don't recall any from memory, but just keep your eyes open and read a bit of the quest dialog and it should be easy to find them.

Morheim

Level 30-35
While I didn't do a vast amount of things in Morheim at this level, it is still quite important. Alsig Village should have a ton of quests now available, most of them being to go outside of the town and kill mobs., or back into Mt. Musphel/Red Lava Cliff. There are also some quests in and around Musphel (a small camp lies on the upper road towards the sky temple) And if you head towards the crash site, there is a npc that has a few quests as well.

The areas marked in red are grind locations for full groups. Ice Claw is doable in the low 30's where as Sky Temple you may want to wait till 33-34. There are also several quests that you may have for Ice Claw, one being a campaign quest. In my opinion, Ice Claw is very difficult for this level. The mobs are packed quite close together and you will almost always be pulling 2 at a time (possibly 3). Even with a well structured group things can turn bad quickly. (I have had 4 failed parties that had at least 1 tank, 1 cc, 1 healer). Take it slow in this area and all ways be mindful of what is around you. Thankfully the re-spawns are slow.

At 30 you can start looking for a group for the campaign quest "Three keys" While this quest is somewhat difficult, it is very worth the rewards. After completion you will be able to access the Fire Temple. The Fire Temple is the first dungeon in the game (for Asmo). There are quite a few quests to do in the fire temple that yield some good items and exp; however the fire temple itself is worth doing multiple times beyond the quests. Most of the bosses have a good drop list of items and the boss can drop almost a gold item of every weapon type. All these weps are 35 and if you obtain one, you will be using it probably until 43 (will explain this when i get to this level in the guide XD )

If you need a good grinding spot near 34, Head down to the Halabana Hot Springs. These mobs are around 35 or so and are humanoid, thus drop kinah. This place is excellent but much safer with a partner, as quite a few of these mobs link (come at the same time).

Beluslan

Level 30-35
It is very possible to farm around the keep at 28+ however you will not be able to quest here until 30. When you do hit 30, you will be able to take on a slew of new quests along with a new campaign. The campaign here will last you from 30-45 and many are worth doing. Be aware you will need some gathering skills (or buy the items) for some quests. But as you get into the quests where you need to kill zombies, or head to Red Mane Village or the Refugee Camp. You will be surprised at how easy some quests are compared to the exp rewards.(this is more towards high end 30's tho).

Take on all the quests you can inside the fortress (marked 1), and eventually you will move onto a camp site just across a bridge (marked 2). There are quite a few more quests at this location that are fairly easy as well. Most of these will be in the imediate area, however some will start sending you to places such as Mosbear Snowfield, or down towards Mahisa's Nest. Try to avoid Mahisa's Nest until 34+ or take them on with a partner.

Other Thoughts: I realize this part of the guide may seem short. For the most part I was either grinding in the Abyss or doing Fire Temple runs for exp. My advice would be to do things in the following order:
1) Start with quests located at 1 in Beluslan
2) Go to Morheim and take quests around Alsig Village (preferably ones that have you go east of alsig or north into Mt. Musphel area)
3) Three Keys/Fire Temple
4) Do quests located at both 1 and 2 in Beluslan
5) Do quests in Alsig that have you go southward of the village

At any point you want to break things up, look for a fire temple group or go grind in the abyss.(grinding other locations is fine as well)

Tips: Be friendly and ask to group up! Far to often do i see people grinding next to each other but playing solo. It never hurts to ask to group with another player, and it tends to make things easier and more enjoyable. Bonus, you can make some new friends at the same time!
